The rather gruesome sculptures each depict a boy on the back of a sea turtle. The boys each hold a rope around their respective turtle's neck and appear to be riding the turtles "rodeo" style. The boys are in the nude. The turtles each appear to have a pipe in their mouths, which likely spew waters into the fountain basin when it's in operation.
