Found in the balsam grove near the fire tower. Also found a reference maker pointing to this disk near the caretakers cottage.

Station is on the summit of Balsam Lake Mountain, about 8 miles south of Arkville. It is set flush in the top of a boulder 2 feet by 4 feet and protruding 18 inches. 32 feet from the NW corner of the NW corner of a tool shed (caretakers cottage) and about 50 feet NE of the Balsam Lake Mountain Lookout Tower. It is stamped BALSAM. 1940.
