The church is part of the Parish of Blayney, the largest population centre nearby. The church was built in 1924, consecrated in 1926. Interestingly the date stone was laid on Whitsuntide 1924 which appears to have been either May or June of that year.
Trunkey Creek is a small village offering the traveller a pub, a park, a BBQ area, a camping ground & the church. It heritage is like many other such places in the district owing its foundation to gold mining.
