The Pommerlesloch is a vertical hole in the ground. Its deep is about 100 meters. It is the deepest and most important cave in the Lankreis (county) of Böblingen.
The cave entrance is secured by an iron gate and a fence. For the public, the access is denied.
There's no information board.
The unusual name is based on the following story: around 1750 a dog in the hunt have fallen into the cave shaft. The dog could not be freed. This dog had the name 'Pommerle'. The legend tells that years later barking and howling was heard from the cave.
