For those who are really into history, the Titanic had just sunk days earlier, and two Major League Baseball stadiums opened their gates on the day she died. Navin Field in Detroit later became Tiger Stadium, and is no longer with us, but Fenway Park in Boston is still home to the Red Sox and Red Sox Nation.
