~ text from plaque ~ The Voodoo, operated by the five squadrons depicted above (409, 410, 425, 414 and the 416, served the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from 1961 to 1984.
The Voodoo's high speed (Mach 1.78) and exceptional climb performance provided the aircraft with significant striking power. Working with the USAF, this outstanding aricraft was an integral component of the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD).
This Voodoo, Serial No. 101060, was in 416 Squadron, Bagotville and later in 409 Squadron, Comox.
