This is a beautiful example of a late 1800's early 1900's 1-room schoolhouse. The building was locked but looking in the windows I saw the original desks, bookcase, teachers desk, pictures on the wall. Just as it was when it closed in 1956. I think it is one of the best examples of 1-room schools there is. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The reference # is 94000776. There are also the boys and girls outhouses adjacent to the schoolhouse.
