At a side entrance to the protestant church 'Stadtkirche' in Bad Cannstatt, Germany, Baden-Württemberg are two ancient Roman altars on a permanent display. This altars are only exact replicas.

The two altars have been found in the 16th centery at the 'Uffkirche', which is an old church not faraway.

They have been donated by Emeritius Sextus in the year 222/223.
He was the commandant of the Roman station nearby.

There are two informations boards about the altars.
They can be visited all the time without any restrictons and without any fee.
Most Relevant Historical Period: Roman Empire > 27 B.C.
