Cette sculpture, intitulée «Invitation au voyage», est située à l’intersection des rues Saint-Paul et John-Goudie, à proximité de la Gare du Palais, à Québec. L’œuvre en question représente une voiture constituée d’acier inoxydable, d’aluminium, de bronze et de laiton. On y trouve trois voyageurs à bord. Cette sculpture fut remise à la ville de Québec par la CAA (Canadian Automobile Association), pour commémorer le 400e anniversaire de la fondation de la ville. Selon son président-directeur général, Paul A. Pelletier, cette oeuvre représente la mobilité que nous avons toujours défendue et la tranquillité d’esprit que nous offrons depuis toujours, en voyage comme en voiture.»
Translation:
This sculpture, entitled: "Invitation to Travel" is located at the intersection of Saint-Paul and John Goudie Streets, near the Gare du Palais, in Quebec City. The work in question is of a car made of stainless steel, aluminum, bronze and brass. There are three passengers on board. This sculpture was given to the city of Quebec by the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the city's founding. According to its President and General Director, Paul A. Pelletier, « this work represents the mobility that we have always defended and the peace of mind we offer, whether on a trip or while traveling by car. »
