The Church Heritage Museum opened in 2009, at St. Michael the Archangel Church. There the visitor will find exhibits of religious art with the highlight on the treasury of Vilnius Cathedral. Also there are goldsmith masterpieces, liturgical textile, paintings, sculptures and other signs of Christian devotion.
The church itself has a historical significance and it is the mausoleum of a famous Sapiega family of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. There are also objects related with this family..
Besides the exhibit the museum has extensive cultural activity: lectures, concerts, book presentations and etc are held in the Museum.
Educational programs for children and adults introduce the history of Lithuanian Church, sacral art, and architecture.
