The Pysynka is 25.7 feet long and 18 feet wide. The 2,000 pound aluminum skin is mounted on a 3,000 pound internal structure which rests on a 27,000 pound concrete and steel base. The Pysynka is mounted at a 30° angle and turns in the wind like a weather vane. It was built in 1974 to honour the One-Hundredth Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police,
