Richmond International Airport, or KRIC, is located about 10 miles east of the actual city. It has daily flights from United, Delta, and American. Most recently Southwest which has direct service from here to Orlando and Atlanta. Most of the aircraft that lands here are CRJ-900's but occasionally you get the larger planes of B737-800's and A319's. B757's have landed here, but are rare. This airfield is also where Air Force One comes and practices take offs and landings as the runways are quite long. There are two terminals here, but hardly all the gates are full at any given point. The airport is also used as a diversion hub for Washington D.C. airports if the weather is bad. The many gates here are perfect for any type of plane smaller than a B787.
