The city of Ironton, on the Cuyuna Range in Minnesota, was platted in 1910 and incorporated in 1911.
City Hall, still in use, was built in 1917. It is a two-story brick and stucco structure. Currently, the Ironton Fire Department is housed there, along with municipal offices. In the past, the building was also used as a jail, library, and auditorium.
This building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
