The planter is adjacent to the sidewalk on the east side of Kennedy Commons, midway between Third and Fourth Streets. Kennedy Commons is Anaconda's major downtown park, occupying a full city block along the west side of Main Street between Third and Fourth Streets.

This memorial is a two tiered circular brick planter, the centre of which is filled with colourful annuals and perennials through the summer.

To the south of the planter is a Blue Star Highway Memorial for the Pintler Memorial Highway, which passes through town just one block north, while to its north is a Veterans Memorial created by the American Legion, VFW and the Daughters of American Veterans.

Location: Kennedy Commons - Anaconda, MT
