The major battle of the Austro-Prussian war - Battle of Königgrätz (visit link) - was preceded by several other military clashes and minor skirmishes and battles. These skirmishes had their own victims and these victims have own a monuments.

This is the memorial of the victims of The Battle of Nachod [CZ: Náchod] (visit link) . It was the first major action of the Austro-Prussian War on June 27, 1866.

Na jihozápadním okraji malého lesíku pri polní ceste stojí pískovcový pomník s nápisem: "Na památku zde padlým vojínum r. 1866". Pomník oznacuji místo, kde jsou pohrbeni nekterí dustojníci a myslivci od 14. rakouského praporu.
