Bordering the east parking lot at the Oklahoma History Center are these fourteen flagpoles, each flying one of the flags of the nations that once claimed this land. This is a fascinating part of our history that we don't always stop to consider.

At the base of each flagpole is a marker which explains the circumstances under which this nation held claim.
