The Port Renfrew Branch started as a book deposit station in 1964 and was located in the nearby Port Renfrew Elementary School. Access to the library was only available for four hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which wasn't very convenient for users. The branch later moved into its current location at the Port Renfrew Community Centre and opened on October 5, 2013. It now features wifi internet access, computer stations, and an expanded collection that includes approximately 4600 items.
