This dated corner stone and bell are preserved here, outside the current school. They were from the old school, erected in 1901, that was destroyed by the "Great Fire" on March, 9, 1967.

This memorial was "dedicated on July 4, 1969, to the people of the Wolcott community and those who attended school in the old building".
