This self-guided walking tour is approximately 850 metres long and is indicated by yellow footprints painted on the sidewalks. It starts at the Duncan train station (which also houses the Cowichan Valley Museum & Archives) at 130 Canada Avenue and follows a loop around downtown Duncan. From the train station, the route heads north along Canada Avenue, west on Kenneth Street, south on Government Street, and east on Station Street back to the start. Along the way are 33 of the city's world-famous totem poles, including the world's largest diameter totem (WM3YPR). Each totem has an interpretive plaque describing the totem and its carver. The tour was created through a partnership between the City of Duncan and the Duncan Business Improvement Area Society.
