This time capsule is inside the BMO Centre (formerly Round-up Centre) in Stampede Park, on the main level next to an escalator and near the entrance to the Stampede Corral arena. It commemorates the 1980 National Petroleum Show, and the energy industry, and is to be opened in 2080.
The National Petroleum Show is now (2014) the Global Petroleum Show, an annual event in Calgary.

BURIED TO COMMEMORATE THE OPENING OF
CALGARY'S SEVENTH NATIONAL PETROLEUM SHOW,
AND THE ENERGY INDUSTRY IT SERVES.
THE CAPSULE CONTAINS MEMORABILIA
REPRESENTATIVE OF THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
AND THE YEAR 1980, AND WILL BE OPENED IN THE YEAR 2080.
