Located on the Albertinaplatz in Vienna, it is unclear whether this piece is part of or an independent work appropriately placed adjacent to the Monument Against War and Fascism. Both works are by the same artist, Austrian sculptor Alfred Hrdlicka. The Monument is dated 1988-1991, so presumably that is the same date for this work that depicts an older Jewish man groveling on the ground prostrate with barbed wire scraping his back.
