The major battle of the Austro-Prussian war - Battle of Königgrätz (visit link) - was preceded by several other military clashes and minor skirmishes and battles. These skirmishes had their own victims and these victims have own a monuments.

This is the memorial of the victims of The Battle of Skalitz [CZ: Ceská Skalice] (visit link) . It was a minor engagement in the Königgratz/Sadowa campaign of the Austro-Prussian War in Bohemia on June 28, 1866.

Vysoký litinový kríž na mohutném pískovcovém základe se ctyrmi nápisovými deskami. Nechali jej postavit dustojníci 32. peš. pluku d´Este svým padlým kamarádum.
Naproti pomníku c. 52, pres silnici, se nachází pomník c. 53 - nedávno renovovaný hrb s litinovým krížem a kovovým oplocením.
