This is a large library and well-staffed and has a large section devoted to local history. There is a children and teen sections. There are large books at various locations around the outside of the library, to relax and read your favorite book on a book.
The Cranbrook Public Library sign is at the front of the library and is also a place to relax.

Library Services
Serving Cranbrook and the surrounding area since 1925, the Library offers books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, online databases, magazines and newspapers, public access computers; plus a wide range of programs.
Computer and Information Services
Public Computers with Internet Access
Use of public access computers is available to library members on a first come first serve basis for 1 hour per day. Members need to know their library card barcode and PIN to log on.
Use of public access computers is available to non-members, or members wanting additional time, at a cost of $1.00 per hour. Additional time is given in 1 hour increments based on computer availability. Users must register at the Circulation or Information desk to receive a card and PIN.
Printing and Photocopying
People can print or photocopy in black and white at a cost of $0.10 per page.

Programs and Other Services
Preschool Storytime
Children 3 to 5 years old, along with their parents, guardians and caregivers can take part in a half-hour long drop-in program that features stories, rhymes and fun activities with a different theme each week. It runs from September to May on Wednesdays at 11:00 am, 1:15 pm and 6:30 pm.
Toddler Storytime
Designed for children 18 months to 2 years old, along with their parents, guardians and caregivers can Toddler Storytime is a half-hour long drop-in program that features stories, rhymes and songs with a different theme each week. It runs from September to May on Fridays at 10:30 am.
Homebound Services
Operated by volunteers and staff, this service lets people in the community who are physically unable to visit the Library borrow material and have it delivered to them once a month. Please telephone the Library to make necessary arrangements
