EM0669 (HEYLS) - Fort Sill, OK, USA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This triangulation station has seen better days. It sits on what is locally know as Heyl's Hill. The hill actually overlooks Heyl's Hole which was used as a water source, albeit a very dangerous one since a few soldiers lost there life from a powerful undertow. The road is very rough and washed out. Unless you have a truck, I recommend parking at the azimuth mark and walking. The azimuth mark and RM2 are present, RM1 disk is gone.

NOTE: This station is on an active military installation. You will need a valid picture ID to get on post. Once on, there are no restrictions for accessing the station.
