This memorial sculpture/sundial was placed in 1993, rededicated in 2003 as a tribute to the navigators who trained at Mather AFB.

The first dedication recognized 75 years of service to the nation and the community. Sponsored by the Mather Heritage Foundation.
It faces north and only shows the hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Roman letters. The extended arm indicates the time.
Many folks never realize the sundial is there. It has a low hedge surrounding.
