The columnar wayside shrine can be found in centre of village Hamry nad Sázavou, just in front of municipality of the village. The wayside shrine made of sandstone comes from 1680 and were made (according to engraved signature)by local reeve and stonemason Petr Pavel Svoboda. At the top of 2.5 meter high circular column there is a typical Baroque 'lantern' with iron cross on very top.The height of the wayside is more than 3.5 meters. On the column there is attached a marble plate with the following quotation "O wy wssickni Lidé, kterzy tauto Czestau gdete, pohledtež a wizte gestli wetssi bolest nad bolest mau. 1680 P.P.S." (All of You coming along this road, look and tell if there is greater pain than mine. 1680)
