The bench is dedicated to a young fellow who died aged 19 in 2002. The bench has fine views over the Crookhaven River, Crookhaven Heads (mouth of the river) & Mount Coolangatta. Pelicans favour adjacent lighting but the bench was clean. Look up just to be sure.
The plaque is worded: This seat is a family donation in memory of Robert Timothy Smith died 2-10-2002 aged 19 years. Forever fishing in holiday heaven.
