After finding numerous hitching posts in the town of Guthrie, we have been surprised to find very few in Oklahoma City. We did find this one, however, in the Heritage Hills Historic District, on N.W. 14th Street.
The horse head hitching post stands at the curb with a concrete base. It is alongside a brick sidewalk which leads up to a two-story frame home. This is an iron hitching post, with the leash ring through the horse's mouth.
