This station is a NGS vertical control mark, located at Assateague Island, MD. It is set horizontally in the sidewalk surface at the northwest end of the Verrazano Bridge:

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1977
IN ASSATEAGUE ISLAND.
1.0 MILE NORTHWEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 611 FROM THE JUNCTION OF
THE ASSATEAGUE ISLAND ROAD, 13 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE
OF THE HIGHWAY, SET IN THE TOP OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE SIDE
WALK OF THE VERRAZZANO BRIDGE, 3 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE NORTHWEST
END OF THE BRIDGE.

The mark is very easy to locate. Beware of traffic, which can be heavy depending on time of year you visit the area. Parking your vehicle at the nearby parking lot and walking up to the station is your best bet.
