The co-ordinates given are for the Church Lane entrance to the underpass where a stainless-steel plaque (see photos) advises of the Hitchcock Gallery. All the exhibits are mosaics.

This mosaic is entitled "Vertigo". The plaque, at the mosaic, tells us:

Vertigo
1958

Tom Helmore as Gavin Elster and Kim Novak as Madeline in Hitchcock's masterly study of love and obsession.

"Hitchcock knew exactly what he wanted to do in this film, exactly what he wanted to say, and how it should be seen and told. And anyone who saw him during the making of the film could see, as I did, that he felt it very deeply indeed." - Samuel Taylor screenwriter

The mosaic shows three figures at the top of a building with open arches to the drop outside. In the foreground is a woman stood looking at the other two characters. One of them is a man holding another, identically dressed, unconscious woman, in one of the arches. Whether he is saving her or about to launch her in to space you will need to view the film to find out - see the trailer here. The main colour used is shades of green for the identical dresses of the two women. Blue and white are used for the sky. A range of other dark colours are used for the man's suit and inside decoration of the tower. Yellows and greens are used for the tops of the arches.

The mosaic is about four feet high by three feet wide.

Specific visit requirements:
The mosaics are in a pedestrian underpass that runs beneath the Central Line tracks at Leytonstone station and is open 24/7. This is a public area so no ticket is required.
