The co-ordinates given are for the Church Lane entrance to the underpass where a stainless-steel plaque (see photos) advises of the Hitchcock Gallery. All the exhibits are mosaics.
This mosaic is entitled "To Catch a Thief". The plaque, at the mosaic, tells us:
To Catch a Thief
1955
High on a roof, reformed cat-burglar John Robie. played by Cary Grant is caught against a sky illuminated by fireworks as he attempts to capture the impostor who has been giving him a bad name.
"Hitchcock couldn't have been a nicer fellow. I whistled coming to work on his films." - Cary Grant
The mosaic shows the main character, John Robie, on a rooftop. In the background are bursts of fireworks. The colours used for this mosaic are quite simplistic with various shades of blue used for the fireworks and nightsky. The tiles on the rooftop are mainly grey with some red used for shadow effects. Robie us wearing a black suit that has other similar dark colours within it. In the foreground id what appears to be a part of the building, maybe a chimney, that is made up of black and grey coloured pieces.
The mosaic is about four feet high by three feet wide.
