A dozen and half outdoor pieces are waiting to be discovered on the grounds of the McNay Art Musuem. The grounds are open to the public during DST 7am–7pm and CST 7am–6pm. A fee is required to enter the indoor collections.
There appears to be subdivisions on the walk to recognize multiple sponsors of the grounds. At least two were observed:
- Jesse & Susan R. Oppenheimer Sculpture Promenade
- Carol & Charles E. Foster Entry Promenade
A Top 10 guide for the city highlighted Joel Shapiro's blue figure walking down a wall and George Rickey's kinetic sculpture, which I agree were among my favorites.
