The Bonner Mall is the only big mall in Ponderay, which isn't very big itself. It's basically a suburb of Sandpoint, which is less than a mile south on Highway 2 or Highway 95.

This sign is at the southwest corner of the mall parking lot, on the east side of Highway 2.
The mall has 22 tenants at present, including Sears, JC Penney, Staples, Les Schwab, Days Inn and Petco. There's at least one store here selling pretty much anything the average shopper would need on an average day, from airplane models to zucchini.
"The Sandpoint area has developed a reputation for being one of the finest small town art communities in the nation. Hunting and fishing are legendary in this area.
This eclectic town, located right on the Pend Oreille, has a hospital, airport and a library as well as a community theater. A renowned regional destination resort, Schweitzer, is just 9 miles from Sandpoint.
