This bronze bust of former President and General Dwight David Eisenhower is on display at a plaza bearing his name, in Stars and Stripes Park. The plaza with the bust stands on a promontory on the south bank of Lake Hefner. The circular plaza has a partial wall with numerous quotes of Eisenhower.
The bust depicts him in a suit, vest, shirt and necktie. It is mounted on a short stone base, which stands on a circular seating wall around the plaza. The sculpture by Mary Fiegel was originally placed here in 1970 and stood on a tall concrete and stone pedestal, however, in 2010, the plaza underwent refurbishing and the sculpture has a new placement.
A bronze plaque on the base reads:
"...I've always loved my wife. I've
always loved my children. I've always
loved my grandchildren, and I've
always loved my country..."
