Situated in the steeple of the First Parish Church on Cohasset Common. At the Town Meeting of March 6, 1865, the Town voted to "accept of the Clock when placed in the Tower of the First Church". It was purchased by the residents of the Cohasset from E. Howard & Co. in Roxbury, MA. The clock has continuously run since its installation.
There are 4 clocks each on the face of the square tower. The only substantial change since its installation was an electric motor to raise the weights during the winding of the mechanism. The clocks are round with gold hands and digits, which are Roman numerals. The faces are flat black. They are in a tower which is topped by a belfry and a steeple.
