Built in 1824 due to the separation of the parishioners of the First Parish Church.

Designed after the Scotland Church in Bridgewater. Its hall for worship is on the second floor with an assembly hall on the lower floor. The exterior was changed after a fire in 1928. It was built over a doctrinal dispute in 1824. The forming of the Second Parish Church brought about the cessation of Town funding of all religious houses.
