Located north of the Westmoreland County courthouse in a brick-paved sitting area. The adjacent ash tray is an unfortunate necessity to keep smokers from toss butts into the sculpture's open base.

"Compatible Forms" consists of three inverted narrowly tapered aluminum rectangular prisms bolted into the base around a central box. One of the forms has two roughly serrated edges.

The piece does not stand out or call attention to itself in the downtown area.
