Although this cemetery is on two sides of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, the graveyard (churchyard cemetery) is known as Brooklyn Lutheran Cemetery. Do not confuse it with Melugin Grove Cemetery which is also called Brooklyn Cemetery (no Lutheran) in the same township. According to FindAGrave, although there were some graves without dates, the oldest recorded grave was from 1866.
