This bronze life-sized bust of Bjarni Jonsson depicts him mid-chest as a middle-aged man. He wears a ruffled collar and a cross around his neck. His hands are held out in front of him as if he is gripping a lectern.
There is no information at the site about the artist or date.
Although Wikipedia and Brittanica do not have a page for him, he is mentioned in the Wikipedia page for Asgeir Asgeirsson (visit link) at which we learn that Jonsson, a minister at the Reykjavik Cathedral was the losing candidate to become Iceland's second President in 1952. The sculpture provides Jonsson's birth and death dates as "1881-1965".
