When I visited this museum, I did not get to see much inside. 7 bus loads of junior high age kids filled the place.
But the outside is full of stuff also.
Goodnight statue..his real life adventure with his friends body (Oliver Loving) was used by author Larry McMurtry for the trek to bring his buddys body back to a special spot in LONESOME DOVE.
T-Anchor Ranch headquarters building, and then you can see Hollywood had it all wrong.
Remains of Fort Bascom where Kit Carson fought his last battle.
