Preserve Our History
Petrofka Ferry
Dedicated to pioneers of Slavic origin. In 1899 Russian Religious refugees from Transcaucasia, members of the Doukhobor faith, founded ten villages in the area near here.
For their convenience the Petrofka Ferry was established below this point in 1901.
It was important link across the North Saskatchewan River for the trails and roads of the region.
