This cemetery is in the middle of a field that is privately owned, but you may park along the side of the road to view it. It is the graves of Absalom and Sarah Rhodes and is listed in
FindAGrave.
According to the write-up for Absalom, who was killed by Alf Bolin the Bushwacker, although the Rhodes had already donated land for the nearby Blue Eye Cemetery, they were afraid to bury Absalom there, since Alf was still on the prowel; so they buried him closer to the house. Later, when his wife died, she was buried next to him. A very nice wrought iron fence was put around their graves.
But considering that it has been well over 120 years since Sarah was buried there, the small plot has been left to take care of itself. The coordinates of this waymark are of a place where you may park, then walk to the fence line and view the cemetery to the east at N36°30.320' W093°25.068'.
