Frank Milner arrives in Aidensfield having lost his grandchild Claire. Milner blames Nick Rowan for her death and is determined to make Rowan lose someone he loves. To this end he kidnaps Kate Rowan at gunpoint. Milner takes her to disused goods shed. He is talked out of harming Kate.
