The three children, all of whom tragically died while very young, are assumed to be the progeny of Mr. and Mrs. John Jennings, who himself passed away on January 7th, 1899 of typhoid fever.
Of the children, the first to die was Mary E., who passed away on October 4th, 1892 at the age of just one month.
The second was Ross James Henry, who passed away on October 17th, 1896 at the age of ten months.
The third and last to die was John F. M., who passed away on May 31st, 1900 at the age of 6 years, 8 month and 24 days.
The Jennings headstone, approximately six feet in height, stands atop a low granite plinth. I has a large base and a small rounded square capital with an urn atop. The four plaques on the sides are set among emulations of rough hewn stone on the slightly tapered sides.
