Johnie’s Parking Sign - "Complete Mystery" - Los Angeles, California - Zippy the Pinhead Locations on Waymarking.com

I thought I had spotted this sign at another hamburger shop - Bob's Big Boy Broiler in Downey California. The sign has the same S-curved arrow design, only the words were different. Bob’s had been renovated, so it was possible that the sign had been reworked too. So I filed WMDAPB and had it approved.

Later, when I looked at Bill Griffith’s notes, he reported that this sign was at Johnie's Coffee Shop. I’d been to Johnie’s before and didn’t see this parking sign out back. After checking in Google Street View, I spotted the sign! I had the waymark WMDAPB declined and returned as incorrect.

Recently, I got to Johnie’s again and photographed this sign out back. The lower half still says “Parking” as in the Zippy pane, but the parking lot is now used by the adjacent 99¢ store (Johnie’s closed in 2000), so the upper half refers to the neighboring store.
