A brick in the pavement and an Oklahoma Historical Marker indicate that the Love County Courthouse, built and dedicated in 1910, was the first state courthouse built after Oklahoma became a state in 1907.

The brick simply says "Love County Court House First Courthouse Completed After Statehood Dedicated 1910," while the historical marker says:
Love Count Courthouse
Oklahoma's first county courthouse built after Statehood. The cornerstone of Nelson Georgia marble was laid during Masonic ceremonies on April 29, 1910. The building was dedicated on November 24, with Senator J. Clint Graham presiding. The building houses all county offices and is a point of pride and focus of community activities.
