The tower is painted white, and its more-decorated face welcomes visitors to town if they've exited from I-35. It says "Marietta Home of the Indians" with a Native American in profile. The east side, greeting folks who have come in via OK 32, simply says "Marietta." Notably, the ball atop the tower is a U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Benchmark.
