The Roman Catholic Church Herz Jesu is located west of the old town of Lenzburg near the railway station.
The first Roman Catholic community since the reformation in Lenzburg was founded in the 1850s. The first regular service was held in 1867 in the reformed church. But this community joined the newly founded Christian-Catholic church in the schism of 1872. After 1885 there were again regular catholic services held in a private home until a property was found for a church near the railway station. This church was built in 1891, but soon it became too small and had to be replaced with the current structure in 1933/34. The parish of Lenzburg contains the town and five neighboring municipalities.
The church is simple white building with a massive steeple. From the street the view of the church is a bit hidden by an adjacent community center that encloses a square yard with the north wall of the church.
