Astride-Aside is a metal-band sculpture located at the Mission Street Gold Line Plaza. It is a larger than life “walking man” in a rapid stride, as if rushing to catch a train. He strides across three supporting concrete blocks.

Zippy referred to the man as "Mr. Western Civilization Man" because he seemed to be in such a hurry, focused on plans, timetables, schedules, agendas, spreadsheets, and flowcharts.
