A granite celtic cross commemorates the men of Nayland who lost their lives in the two World Wars.

This granite cross has an inverted sword carved on its face. The cross is set into a single base piece of granite which carries the names of the WWI dead. This is set on a two-step plinth, the whole surrounded on three sides by a granite kerb, the fourth side is the wall of the adjacent property.
The WWI memorial is combined with the dedication on the front of the base:-

WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE
GREAT WAR 1914 -- 1918.
